The Philippines: Northern Palawan
Lunch on the beach in El Nido. Image courtesy of El Nido Resorts. Few places in the Philippines rival the sheer, absorbing beauty of northern Palawan. Foremost among the enchanting areas in this region is the 50,000 hectare, 45 island municipality of El Nido, so named by the Spaniards in renaissance history because of the abundance of health enhancing, edible bird’s nest, or nido soup, common along limestone cliffs that permeate the area. El Nido is a protected zone of the Philippines because of the highly impressive diversity of its biological wildlife, but this is only one of the many compelling reasons for its attractiveness. The translucent waters, the tucked away lagoons, the mangrove tours, the diving and snorkelling in the company of colourful tropical fish, fishing, bird watching and picnic lunches on pure white sand beaches are staples of El Nido's group of islands. These qualities are best represented by the El Nido Lagen and Miniloc Island Resorts, both of which stand for the best in ideal tropical retreats with such varied features as coconut tree-lined white sand beaches, rich marine life to dive for and astonishing sightseeing. Blue Horizons Travel & Tours is ready to take you to El Nido Palawan by air, as well as by sea to numerous other attractions such as the Calamian Island group that goes beyond anyone's dreams of an unspoiled paradise. All in all, when it's serenity, secluded coastlines and calm seas a traveler is looking forward to, Blue Horizons is poised to take you to Northern Palawan where paradise awaits. |
